(UK) INFO DAILY EXPRESS 4 Nov 11

3 runners refused exercise on turf due to heavy rain ....

Strong Suit
Sea Moon
Elusive Kate

Hannon Jnr quoted

" We had arranged to work around two bends and this was our only chance to do it before the big day.  They have ruined chance of winning and I doubt we will be coming back here in a hurry.  When they come over to us, they get their expenses and every facility provided.  Why should we have to put up with this sort of treatment?"

Makes sense to me.

Allowing horses to gallop on rain-softened ground will only turn the going into mush.

This has been Strong Suit's target for months. If Hannon jr hasn't had the foresight to train SS back home at Lambourne going around 2 bends, then he's a pr1ck.

Hannon Jr. is jawboning the price up. If you're not ready by the time you get there, one slow gallop around a water logged course (their courses don't take kindly to too much rain) is not going to do it for you. This has indeed being their declared target for months and it will take a lot more than Hannon Jr. crying in his milk to get me off his runner.
