#6 looks very solid at anything around 5/6+ a NAP for me. Has looked a new beast for the Shanyfelt barn, hacked up last time on the turf here at mount against similar and is going for the 4 timer today should be very tough. GL

Fine thanks. I've had a fairly quiet evening, but I've made a small profit. I'm always a little scared of the Monday night card - at least 80% of my bad nights have come on a Monday - but I'm sure things will get more exciting towards the end of the week..

Oh please! That race was huge for him. Perhaps he wanted to showboat a little and make the finish as exciting as possible. Most likely he just misjudged it. Zenyatta always started around 25 lengths off the leader in her races. In that race she was around 30 lengths behind. The difference isn't that huge.
To put it another way, she lost by the smallest margin possible, so are you saying that Mike Smith's judgement is so utterly brilliant that he got as close as he could possibly have got without winning? If he was aiming to lose, why didn't he make it a little easier and stage a late rally where Zenyatta finished 2 or 3 lengths off the lead - a supposedly valiant effort, but never one that was likely to end up running the risk of a victory.

my point was that Smiths silly ride has now given bent US jockies the ultimate excuse: they were simply dropping their mounts out and misjudged the timing (and if that can happen to Mike Smith, surely it can happen to them too, right?) Ive seen this happen countless times over the past few months; just like that bent jockey on the 4.
