It does't look like Betfair will be back tonight I fear. Now been 4 hours "out of action" - looks like a major problem that could take some time to fix. Might be back early Sunday morning, is my guess.

Messing about with clever little gimmicks and neglecting the bread-and-butter staple diet that most of us want. Love to know what % of turnover these minority items attract because it doen't seem to be cost efficient. Must have lost a bundle on Racing today, and £1M on the big match tonight is not good. Betfair tonight must have many problems and a major overhaul is now necessary. |

Have they not heard of resilience or back up. Surely they can roll back to a point when the system was working. There is also replication. Betfair just in case you are not aware these are technical options.

Just heard that Betfair used Ryanair to transport the server from UK to Ireland which has landed in Knock instead of Kerry International and the conecting bus to collect and transport the server back to civilisation has been abandoned by a disgruntled betfair customer somewhere outside Killarney. If there is any taxi driver in the Knock vicinity could they please contact a member of Betfair's customer service.
