Absolute pish!!!!!
Granted there are some terrible jocks in the USA but you usually find them at Charles,Turway,Mountieneer etc etc The top jocks would wipe the floor with most of the jocks in the UK,dont know what the other guys think but ide say the Yankee racing is straighter. |

I agree Mr Placepot. There is an epedemic of cheating in uk racing imo.

Probably because of the recession that the cheating is as bad as it is.

ask Frankie who the best jock he's ever ridden against is, 1.01 he'd say Jerry Bailey. There are several great riders in U.K, too (Frankie, Moore, etc). As far as cheating goes, unlike UK racing, U.S. racing is straight-forward. There is little incentive not to try. There is no handicap mark to lower, prize money is excellent. The bottom level horses at Philly (horses rated around 55) race for 15K. Top riders at lowly Philly can earn 500k per year. Same goes for the trainers. Owners can make good profits with cheap horses, too. It's the pathetic prize money and the authoritarian handicapping system which make cheating a necessity for connections in the UK.

Low class handicapping in the UK is set up for cheating especially UK Flat racing.
Usually if a horse gets beat in USA Its because the jockey was poor. |

yep. it's never my fault, either

thats why i was looking for the stats, because i would lay any short priced favorite as long as the jockey was`nt in the top five ,of the top jockeys list and the trainer was`nt in the top 8 simple because there is that much of a gulf of the top jocks and the rest,do you think i am on the right track or am i way of with my thinking
