Chasing from the get go. Lost a fair sum of money on England today.
Some observations:
1. The best team won
2. The ball crossed the line. Had England equalized may be the outcome would be different. May be.
3. Germans controlled the midfield. Gerrard was invisible with the exception of his one shot that forced a great save from the German goalie late in the game. The rest of the England midfield was not much better.
4. The England defense could not cope with the pace and skill of the Germans.
5. When you are in need of goals and your substitution is Heskey than you are grasping are straws.
6. Rooney is the best English player and injury withstanding he pales in comparison to the brilliance of a young Ozil.
Bottom line: Beckenbauer was right. England regressed under Capello and are simply not good enough at this level.
Good luck this evening. I have a feeling this will be a loooong night for me.

Surprised you risked anything on England TC, had you down as a better judge than that. Plenty of races tonight so don't chase too hard too soon, the opportunities will be there, just be patient.....! |

I thought Germany played well in their first game, not so much in their other two games. I also thought England was starting to put it together after their last game. Obviously I was wrong. I should stick to racing me thinks (although I admit I'm following PIP in backing Argentina very large as well). I had a monster week in the equities market last week so this is not exactly very painful but money is money and I hate giving it back once it's in my pocket. |

adiboy, I wish I had seen your post earlier. I could have saved you money.
The 8 run off after throwing the rider right after the post parade. I layed it and kept laying it as it drifted in the market thinking they stewards would scratch it. The runner continued to act rank after it was gathered and rider went back on. I was absolutely shocked to see it go to the post. In short: the public was defrauded courtesy the stewards. |
