Without wanting to labour on the point as it has been dealt with adequately by others, we all know what can and does go on.
Anyone who can't afford to lose shouldn't play, or alternatively, spend time watching the markets and you will rarely get stung, they are a clear indication/warning sign and it is not often that they are wrong, consequently the risk of losses can then be vastly reduced.

these horses that lost that u are referring to,people wanting alot of money on them,i think it is money blocking the price so people can lay them at under the price,but on paper it looks like these horses are fancied.

I find the more I study and learn, the less I pay attention to the markets.

Tbh big lumpy bets go both ways. And obviously 2 people have to match large amounts for there to be a bet!

As for non triers, maybe TC can comment on the numbers who don't, I generally get a good run for my money, if there is larceny planned you can spot it the form and get a good price on a horse gearing up for a good performance at a price. So it swings both ways on that front imo.

Think about it.I gave it whejn it was 16/1.Horse was super no hoper.Now the layers are seriously worried.I gave a PRE RACE STEWARDS REMEMEBER.

Just to clarify, my point about market movements was in addition to studying the cards not an either or, hopefully we would all agree that not every race is suspicious so consequently nothing can replace good old fashioned hard study.
Put the work in and in the long run you will reap the rewards, watching the markets assists in making the decision whether to play your selection or not,or,to jump on the bandwagon instead where you identify activity you wouldn't have envisaged.
It can't replace it though, unless you are both very patient and have a big enough bank to take advantage and make the isolated incidents pay.
