i think 4 has a chance if it can stalk the 6, and 7 has an outside chance as it is the only other horse with early pace and if given a lead aone may hang on

Dav, the 9's Beyer figs are very good. Consistently above almost all of the other horses in this race.

which US course is it where u get no refund if its scratched in the gates? one of the low brow crook courses if i remember?

Well that was an awful race from the 9. It didn't seem a bit interested there and went incredibly wide on most bends. Oh well.
Dav, I certainly wouldn't take that particular race as further proof that Beyers don't work. That was just a strange run. Another time that horse would have been very much in contention. We'll have to agree to disagree...
im not saying beyer are not worth considering, but i would never be strong behind a horse based purely on those numbers

Agreed. You should never take Beyer scores at face value. But I didn't. The horse had been 4th, 1st, 3rd, 2nd, 3rd, 2nd and 2nd in its previous seven races - all of them at CT and over 6.5 or 7f. Given the patchy form of almost every other horse in the field, that suggested its Beyers were authentic and that it should have raced better then it did. But that's horse racing.
Just an enquiry re the start but not sure who it involves

Those two are extremely close. I'm taking the 2 to place. Should be there or thereabouts, and think the new trainer could have a positive effect.
