Beware of Greeks bearing writs

Typical shallow Pritchard article. He never touches on the real reason why this story is appearing in the Greek press now. Who leaked the report to BHMA and whose interests are being served in BHMA publishing the story? And why now?

He also has the figures or wrong, or neglects to mention the numbers calculated by the French economist Jacques Depla published in Les Echos and independently confirmed by the German economist Albrecht Ritsch in his articles in the Guardian and Der Spiegel. The actual amount of war claims Germany owes Greece is estimated by those two economists at $585bn, if you include not only the war time loan Greece was forced to pay Germany and the subsequent war reparations agreed to at the London Conference in 1953, but also the art, antiquities and gold Germany lifted (stole) from Greece during it's occupation.

Also the real question any journalist writing on this subject in 2013 like Pritchard must ask is, why has Greece waited until now to claim (they haven't yet, and they won't, they are only doing it for political theater to appease their populace, but let's just give them the benefit of the doubt) war claims against Germany when Germany agreed to pay reparations well over 50 years ago? Other countries have received payments from Germany, Israel received substantial payments following actions against Germany taken through the US courts, why was Greece silent all these years and received nothing?
