Thinking about going for this. What sort of salary could I expect after each level - presuming I could get a job!?
Don't mind starting at the bottom and working up but as a 37 year old with wife/child can't go too low!

Plenty of well qualified people getting paid alot less than they expexted.
Study for 3 years to begin with and still be on less than 28K...
Passing gets tougher as you go....the required hours go up.....and lack of experience becomes an issue when job hunting.

If you are smart and have good maths you can become a qualified Book-keeper within two years.

You probably need to find someone to then give you on site experience and training in order to attain some small accounts for private work.

It's a good thing to do if you want to learn about money and business, with a view to a start up  business of your own.

It's not paved with gold for someone of your age, and not not a quick solution to anything.

Think long and hard.....But if you are determined.then in 10 years you could be on good money....imho....

I am AAT qualified  but it doesn't open the door to unlimited riches I'm afraid - ok as a stepping stone to ACCA , CIMA or CIPFA qulifications - good luck with the studies anyway
