This is why we love you Menelaus – only you could berate somebody for a long call on AAPL when almost two years ago you called a MASSIVE short (your words) at $330.

I made money on that short. Go back and read the posts, it's all there.
I also put up a long post some months ago explaining why the glitter had gone out of the company and APPL should be sold. That was about $200 ago on that stock. I also predicted that the stock would trade sideways once it settles around $450, something which again turned out to be true. Go and find that post, again it's all there. HOWEVER....... If the news that came out yesterday and the analysis done at Citi (I haven't had a chance to look over the numbers) is correct, that iPad sales are collapsing, then this stock is headed for $350. http://www.bullfax.com/?q=node-citi-ipad-business-collapsing-aapl I have no idea why you'd want to love me, but I can tell you precisely why you have every reason to hate me. |

It’s funny how we all imagine what people on the other side of the screen are thinking or what they are like in real life etc. For example, I imagine you as being like my great uncle George. He sits in the corner at family gatherings sipping away at his brandy whilst eyeing everyone suspiciously. Inevitably, during a lull in the proceedings, somebody will knowingly mention the French or the Labour party and he’s off on a wild rant - chuntering away and speckling anyone within a few feet with brandy or cheese and biscuits. Eventually he realises that he is just being wound up and sheepishly goes back to sipping his brandy. That is until somebody mentions welfare benefits and he loses control and goes off again for another few minutes. I know its not a very respectful way to treat an elderly relative but it livens up the family gatherings Of course, I don’t really think you’re like my great uncle George (How would I know what you are really like?) But I still see his face when I read your posts. |

I said *IF* the analysis out of Citi regarding iPad sales collapsing is correct, than the stock is heading to $350. The news yesterday that they dropped the price on the retina macbook by $200, when they released it just a short little while ago, also spells trouble for them. If they were selling well they wouldn't be dropping they price. Which means more margin compression. I wrote a long post why apple should be sold months ago when the stock was trading a lot higher. I didn't just scream "sell apple", I explained why the company was losing it's luster. Had you spent a few minutes to read it instead of posting sh1t on these forums and looking like an idiot, you could have saved yourself a bunch money and you wouldn't be asking me to "make a call"? The call had already been made, it's just a clueless mug like you didn't realize it. |
