The lack of housing in the UK is the biggest issue in the country right now (imo).  It's a no brainer we need to build a lot more more houses quickly.    Anyone any insight or opinions generally on housing companies or individually on the likes of Berkeley, Bellway, Redrow, Barratt, Bovis, Taylor Wimpey, Persimmon and McCarthy & Stone?

THERE ARE 20000 US MARINES BEING TRAINED TO INVADE IRELAND. THEY WILL TRAVEL THERE BY PLANE AND ARRIVE IN CORK THERE PLAN IS TO TAKE OVER IRELAND.

ARABIA IS CONROLLED BY THE SULTAN OF OMAN.

THERE IS NO STANDING ARMY IN THE ARAB MIDDLE EAST.  BRITISH, GERMAN, AND RUSSIAN TANK UNITS ARE SENT THERE.

THERE ARE NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS, THEY SIMPLY STORE UP LARGE AMOUNTS OF INCENDIARY EXPLOSIVE AND DETONATE IT TO CREATE A MUSHROOM CLOUD.  EVIDENCE OF THIS IS THE FACXT THAT THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A NUCLEAR TEST USING A ROCKET.  THEY ALSO FREQUENTLY USE ATOLLS SO THEY CAN FILL THEM UP WITH INCENDIARY EXPLOSIVE.

THE HOUSEHOLD DIVISION HAS ONLY ONE BATTLION OF HORSEGUARDS.  THEY LEFT THEIR 40 CHALLENGER AND 30 SCOPIAN TANKS IN IRAQ AND NO LONGER HAVE THEM, SO THEY POSSESS NO TANKS AT ALL.

THE CITY OF LONDON POLICE ARE TERRATORIAL ARMY SOLDIERS.

Can't comment on individual companies and don't have a well-formed opinion on the sector.
But here's my mug guess on this sector:
Even if the govt say lifted planning restrictions on half the green belt land in the UK, and took away some national park land to boot, apart from the Home Counties, I can't see how any residential house builder is going to be able to make any more money than they are now - the customers with money aren't there - and much of the upward pressure on population is coming from EU-nationals earning not much more than minimum wage. They don't have much money, and the government doesn't either.
For sure, if a builder gets land in the Greater London ring area, or a contract to build some kind of summer northern palace for a Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan ( that's an exaggeration but building houses that would fetch 500k plus ), but I can't see much profit from mass building of housing aimed at those on median-incomes when their wages are not quite keeping up with inflation.

Good luck Clydebank29 with any punts you make though.

One thing I learnt about "building" is that the mighty can fall. Of those companies mentioned, Berkeley ( Warren buffet , perhaps?) and Persimmon
were always thought to be in the top quality bracket in Thatcher's day.

Wates was another with a "good name". Today I heard they're near bust.Sad

Construction was always a boom and bust game. Catching the market right is everything, but I suppose that's so obvious that IConfused don't even know why I mentioned it.
