I'd like to invest in oil cos such as BP, Shell etc and  transport cos such as First, National Express, Easyjet, Ryanair etc but can't afford to invest sufficient in each so investing via unit trust/OEIC or investment trust  would be ideal.
I can't find any that invest in such companies despite extensive googling. Any suggestions, please?

It sounds from your post that you are looking for a way to invest in oil companies and airlines. The word "invest" implies a long term view. ETFs are for trading with a short term view, in fact a VERY short term view (REASON: decay).

Don't bother with oil ETFs as a way of investing in oil companies, numerous studies have proven them to be a horrible investment. Oil future contracts is the way to go there, but it sounds like they must over your budget.

I have no idea how to invest in airlines (why would you want to in the first place?) other than directly buying specific airline shares but if you are looking short term, then ETFs might be the way to go, with one that tracks the NYSE ARCA Global Airline Index.

Good luck.

Yes -looking for long term so ETFs are out. I was hoping that one UT would have a portfolio of (say) the 50 largest airlines/bus/train operators and similarly the 50 largest oil cos -Exxon, Shell, BP etc -but maybe they just don't exist.
