I posted this on July 31, 2011, when everyone else was focused on easing from the FED and considered a QE3 announcement coming from Bernanke at Jackson Hole a certainty:

Prediction 1: THERE WILL BE NO QE3 IN 2011 at least not overtly, or officially announced by the FED. Those expecting overtones of a QE3 announcement at next months Jackson Hole meeting will be disappointed.

Prediction 2: The BoE will go through another round of QE BEFORE the FED does.

Considering the Chairman said there are "no immediate plans to do QE3" when testifying at Capitol Hill earlier in the week, I'd say prediction number 1 is looking pretty good right now as well unless the bottom falls out of Europe before the end of the year.

@ PierreLaDouche

I don't have to wait for a big headline to flash in red on the newswire and post a prediction on here an hour later to impress.
