I don't know, just a wild guess on my part, but it could be because Greece is bankrupt, Ireland is bankrupt, Portugal is bankrupt, Spain in bankrupt, Italy and the UK is not far behind, French banks are bankrupt with 40/50 X leverage, Germans banks are bankrupt with 20/30 X leverage, Italian banks are bankrupt with who knows how much leverage, Greek banks are bankrupt PERIOD, and throw in Dexia is the mix for good measure. Oh, I almost forgot, if it wasn't for the FED flooding the european banking system with USD liquidity the entire european banking system would be ashes by now.

It pays to check the news wire date stamp, something I should have done in the first place.

Pierre, next time, put a post up BEFORE the news wire flashes a big HEADLINE that will move the cross in your direction.
