When the bankers were fairly recently found to have caused so much financial trouble to so many people, the message from Government was clearly , “ We will worry about who is to blame later, for now we need to focus on turning this situation around.â€
In the very recent riot’s , where some rioter’s caused financial damage, but to far less people, the rioter’s seem to have been hounded and convicted at a far higher rate.
How does that work?
I thought Government’s loved paper trails. Bank’s are full of them, surely. How hard are these people to track down?
How many bankers are currently paying the price for all the trouble that they have caused?
My guess would be………
None.
Any advance on that?

It would make you think that the banks are more powerful than the temporary, skittish, fickle, vote-grabbing at all costs governments wouldn't it.

Are you suggesting being incompetent should be a criminal offence. If so most of the country would be on trial.
The way things usually work is we prosecute people who have committed criminal offences. Of course if you want to bring charges against anyone who has acted in a way that has caused the present crisis along with bankers you would add most politicians of recent years and all the individuals who have been financially reckless, that would be an awful lot of people. |
