The euros been battered, i was buying at 1.18 but got out without any damage, now at near parity its crazy, it can easily get back to 1.08 with a few good headlines. Anywhere close to parity im buying euro, its being priced to collapse and i cant see that happening.

I put this on when i posted, 1.029, its gone up to nearly 1.08 in these few hours, but i don't "get it" .Laugh

Aaaah, noooo, I'm afraid you still "don't get it" !!!!

Here's how I score your post:

+ 5 points for starting the thread - much better than our resident jester's "day after" AUD up/down calls

+ 5 points for profiting (???) regardless if you had the right reasons for the move, or not - you didn't, nor am I convinced you entered the trade

- 5 points for not stating with confidence you are going long the EUR/CHF cross but rather saying "anywhere close to parity I'm buying euro" - it went up from when you posted, it didn't move down towards parity

- 5 points for going long the cross on the belief the belief that the CHF is "a dog" - the CHF weakened against the euro because of SNB overtures that they will peg to the euro

-5 points for bragging about it on here when although may have been the right side of the trade (I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here since I clearly got the impression from your post that you were waiting for near parity "with a few good headlines" before making a move - it never went near that) obviously you still don't understand the reasons why.

total score: -5

Some of you chaps on here are taking a random walk through a minefield and sooner or later..........

The tell is not the trades posted on here, the real tell is the consistently wrong explanations offered.

If it's respect you are looking for, I'm afraid you have to do better than this. Until such time......you still don't get it.

Did he say something? all i heard was blah blah , eur historically low levels, i said there would be a headline, THERE WAS A HEADLINE, I said 1.08, and 1.08 came.

Count them 500 bips, you can only dream of having such foresight, - 100000000 for all mels posts [smiley:crazy].

Money talks bullsh*t walks (or posts garbage).

I don't know about the future of the CHF, but the cost of chocolate has all of a sudden got very expensive, let alone that sublime Rolex I was eyeing up.

Pierre, are you hallucinating? Because you are embarrassing yourself.

What headline, that they were considering pegging to the euro? That headline?

You were expecting a headline to drive it down to parity so you can enter the trade, not to drive it up 600bips. In other words, this is the WRONG headline.

What chart did 1.08 print on. POST IT.

You should be embarrassed trying to pull a stunt like this, your original post is still here FFS, and it's in plain english.

I'm sorry, ignore the chart request - I thought you were talking about opening the trade at parity, I don't know what I was thinking, my mistake.

I have no issue with your post EXCEPT this: "Anywhere close to parity im buying euro"

The cross headed higher (nowhere near parity), not lower since you put up your original post. So I don't quite understand if you weren't already in the trade at the time of posting (which evidently from your post you weren't), how did you abandon "waiting for close to parity" and entered the trade?

Actually on second thought, ignore my last question as well. Who gives a toss.

The only one who really knows how you traded that is you. I hope you made loads. It's just that your original post leave room (a lot of room) for doubt. One can easily come to the conclusion that your entry point never got hit.

I feel pretty,
Oh, so pretty,
I feel pretty and witty and bright!
And I pity
Any girl who isn't me tonight.

I feel charming,
Oh, so charming
It's alarming how charming I feel!
And so pretty
That I hardly can believe I'm real.

See the pretty girl in that mirror there:
Who can that attractive girl be?
Such a pretty face,
Such a pretty dress,
Such a pretty smile,
Such a pretty me!

I feel stunning
And entrancing,
Feel like running and dancing for joy,
For I'm loved
By a pretty wonderful boy!

It pays to check the news wire date stamp, something I should have done in the first place.

Pierre, next time, put a post up BEFORE the news wire flashes a big HEADLINE that will move the cross in your direction.

If it's respect you are looking for, this is the wrong way to go about it. Quite pathetic actually...

Its ok MrBen, this is what jealousy brings, bitterness and lunacy, he waits a few days and now is trying to claim i posted after the event, he's lost the plot completely, get the straight jackets. [smiley:crazy]

The day I'm jealous of some CLOWN that waits for a massive headline to print across the news wire and logs on here to "suggest" a trade hasn't come yet. There's such thing as date stamps both for news wire releases and posts on here, pretty hard to argue with that.

You earned my respect.....NOT !!!!

Everyone is a troll unless you shut up and accept that Pierre didn't aftertime. 12 hours eh???? How do stories appear where you live Pierre, riding on a donkey? The HEADLINE re: SNB possibly pegging flashed in red across all news wires services about one hour (1:02:11 to be precise) BEFORE you posted your amazing prediction.

Here comes Pierre calling everyone a troll again.....3.....2.....1.....
