I just received this from the Alliance trust. Are other providers charging, or planning to?

Important Information Regarding Changes to Your Account

We have recently completed a review of our operating costs and are notifying you, in accordance with our Terms & Conditions, of some changes to our charges which will take effect from 1 August 2011.

ISA Annual Fee

The cost of administering ISA business and the regulatory cost of reporting to the HMRC has steadily increased over the years. Until now we have absorbed these costs on behalf of our customers but are no longer able to provide this subsidy. As a result, from 1 August 2011 we will introduce an annual administration charge of £25+VAT for all ISA accounts. This will be applied automatically to your account on this date.

I take it you have a self select ISA.  Charges range, but you either pay through the dealing charges or an annual fee, or both.  The link gives a snapshot of charges from providers.  If it's cut short just google charges for stocks and shares isaand click on the money supermarket link.

interative investor is still the cheapest I think. No annual admin fee, and £1.50 per deal (if you use their regular investing service)
