A lot of posturing around but for the moment its looking possible there will be no  QE3, at least in the short term.
How will this affect the USD?
Bill Gross of pimco has stated that he will not be buying US treasuries and he does not know who will after the FED stop buying them.He states a better buy is the canadian or aussie treasuries due to economic stabilty and 2/3 % higher rates.

So will this drive up demand for CAD and AUD as  fund managers  get involved? This seems likely to me if it unfolds that way.

However how long can the US govt stand no buyers for  bonds? Won't it be forced to lift rates big time to compete? Won't this drive UP the value of the USD?

OR will the lack of buyers trigger QE 3, thus  its business as usual?

Fortunes to be made with the right call.

I'm a great believer in market manipulation, the more they say there will be no QE3 the more likely it is.

The more  Gross pushes the " no buy" US treasuries the more likely it is that he is trying to manipulate a rise in rates.

The only topic every time you post seems to be your epic ignorance, so I would say by all accounts, I'm right on topic. Benny, I don't want to start this up with you again, I have far better things to do with my time. Besides, I really can't take seriously anyone who doesn't know how money gets created commenting on a "financials" forum. Laughable.

USD soared overnight against the euro in particular and the  AUD.

If no QE 3 its looking increasingly likely that the USD will rise.

Like I said, I can't take you seriously.

P.S. You should do something about that twitch, or is it just your hand shaking from your rage of being exposed as an epic ignoramous?

Benny says "If no QE 3 its looking increasingly likely that the USD will rise."

Words escape me. Let me get this straight, if the FED decides NOT to continue with MORE DOLLAR DEBASEMENT through money printing, it is increasingly LIKELY that the USD will rise!?!?!? Amazing, simply amazing, only someone with a PhD in Economics could have come to that conclusion.  And what's really impressive is that you probably came to that conclusion all of your own I presume, without any help from a six year old child. I'm truly in owe, you should post these tidbits of wisdom more often.....just to keep reminding me what a simpleton you are.

And the piece de resistance, the risus purus, the highest beholding of a joke is....."if".........What Benny, Bernanke's speeches reach Australia with messenger pigeons?

poor melly, your back[;)]

heres a news flash you thick head.euro  and aud getting slaughtered today.or did you miss that on your break between flipping burgers.??

your assumption that QE will lead to a collapse of  the USD has proven a failure. It has'nt happened - and it won't.That's a most "economics 101" conclusion.

you've been banging on about it for over a year maybe 2 years by now and  zip.

your hyperinflation argument- has'nt happened.

your " massively short apple " another failure

melly- when will you get anything right?

can YOU offer  an opinion as to what will happen if there is no QE3? of course not.

can YOU say  one  way or the other what  bernake will do? If  so please state it for all to see.

you won't of course because , as you have proven over and over and over- you are the  most utterly  clueless poster on here. You know less than a novice, and at  least they are prepared to admit it.

In the meantime, resume your "canadian " persona and keep posting on the aussie forum at  3am your time. We are all getting a  great laugh out of it there.
