I'm not convinced that the Ftse or Dow are going to take a hammering. More likely aggressive upward spikes in oil and cotton. The prospect of disruption through the Suez Canal being a principal drive. This could be a very brief 'revolution', after all after you've burnt your target buildings to the ground, you can't burn them down again.
So my take, markets broadly the same, commodities broadly up. Geopolitical unrest is happening all the time - this time the cameras are on Egypt, next week Korea, Iran, Nigeria, Somalia, Sudan who knows. But Tunisia was 'over' in a flash.

Oh well no carnage, this is a very strong market, i think i need to rethink my outlook, i still think shorting treasury bonds is the best idea, it covers both outlooks, if it is a bull market then people will be getting out of treasuries just as they would if the USA was on the brink bankruptcy and losing faith in the dollar. Its win win.

S&P broke a key resistance at 1300 today. Onwards and upwards.
I think we are entering a bit of a bull market now for US stocks. So that is my position (with a vigilant eye on the underlying economic problems that will undoubtedly rear their head sooner rather than later)
