Footsie Trends Within a Days Trading

I wonder if there is any chart information on the above.

E.G.  Where the day starts with a steep gain how often does the day end with Footsie up.

Visa versa, after a steep early fall how often does the trend continue to the day ending down.

or, as today how often is a trend reversed from a 16+ point fall reversed to a 12 point gain within the last hour of trading.
