Avoid Lloyds and RBS - they both have massive exposure to Ireland and also to commercial property. I wouldn't invest fake money in them
Copper and mining - Rio Tinto and BHP Biliton if you must but could come a cropper if China bubble bursts. Up 50% or so in the last year, may have missed the boat. For a speculative punt, uranium producers could be good due to the number of new nuclear power stations being built globally. They can't run without uranium I also like Lonrho as a long term punt - Zimbabwe can only go one way once Mugabe croaks - lets hope its sooner rather than later |

banking - banco santander, allied irish small steaks
copper - freeport mining - freeport + Lynas keeps getting mentioned, speculative. |

as speculative diversification to oil maybe look at MBLX, small cap, growth area, could pop or fizzle. if it drops below 10 in the new year I might be in.
for mining the likes Western Potash or Encanto have already had a good run so not the value they were but still maybe worth a gamble. |

biotech - illumina
Big gains possible, and I believe biotech is almost a recession-proof industry atm, unlike the 3 areas you are going to invest in. Ditch Banking for biotech and will have low, med, and high risk areas to invest in. |

Just a quick heads up on OTC. Currently trading at 2.47p, a positive JORC update is expected next week which should hopefully push the price past 3p.
