Anyone viewing these as anything less than a gamble at the moment is an idiot. And if you want a punt, there are small oilies out there with a lot better potential upside.

a lot depends on how quickly they pay people up and clean up etc.
if they do a good job the yanks will hate them less. even then i still think 5.00 will be the price by the end of the year barring another sabotage er i mean accident or the price of fuel crashing. |

Might be a good time to get into Salamander after today's fall, but the fact that I was in before todays fall probably means you shouldn't follow what I do :)

Cairn and Desire also have decent drilling schedules coming up as well. Its all a bit of a gamble with small/mid caps, but you tend to get pretty hefty upside. With BP there's probably 20% or so upside left in them I guess, and a lot of that is dependent on political factors which I try and stay away from. You can probably trade it well if you can catch the highs and lows, but I'm crap at that sort of stuff.
