cfd's here in aust are currently being investigated by the regulator.He has concerns they are "just gambling products in which the unsophisticated investor is regualrly taken to the cleaners "

Bank, totally agree with you all a waste of time ( the one based in Cornwall the worst).you have as much chance using your own knowledge to make money. Downside is ,you have to pay capital gains unlike spread betting

Totally agree with advice on here. Advise leaving CFDs well alone. Advisory CFD brokers will almost certainly lose you money, and agree the one based in Cornwall has lost a lot of people money.

Try out minimum stakes spread betting with stops or better a demo account and see how you go.

What's the benefit of CFDs? The way I see it, if you're small, use spreadbetting. If you're going big, direct market access is the only way forward if you're going to be paying tax, anyway.
