Or something far more sinister? the twin towers, financial terrorism, illegal Iraq invansion, they also ran a campaign of attacking toyota.

Getting rid of BP would be very advantageous for them i presume.

Add to that a false flag sinking of the south korean naval vessel.  Good job the chinese are wise to the US masterplan.

Tension in the area would be of huge benefit to the US. It was also very clever placing clinton in the area when news of the so called 'independant' investigation blamed the north.

I am just waiting for the fallout from the Falklands Islands Oil discoveries.  The US would love nothing better than a conflict in the region and Clinton has already started stirring it all up with the South American nations.

Creating world order from tension and chaos would be an ideal scenario for a country on the verge of financial meltdown.

The US will soon be adding Britain to the axis of evil along with Iran, North Korea because of this spill. Remember the Americans love to hate the Brits: most of the hate figures in their movies are British.
Report Utd Fan June 5, 2010 9:51 PM BST
Britain has been on the axis of evil for years

forget this special relationship

funded anti english terrorist groups in Ireland for years and acted as a major supplier of arms

Offered zero support in the Falklands conflict in the eighties.

When have the US supported the UK over anything?

Yes it's hard to know what is true & what is crap, I'm pretty sure though, that we(mankind) are being manipulated, like the proverbial 'Winston' from the book 1984. I hope my big brother is not watching!

I dont believe the blow-out was a conspiracy. However I do believe the americans will stop at nothing to protect their own selfish interests. Why on earth we want to be their allies after all the stuff they have got up to in the middle east and indochina is quite beyond me.

You are one of the very naive masses mrben i feel sorry for you, the truth will reveal itself in time and remember Iraq was attacked on a conspiracy.
Report Mrben June 13, 2010 2:44 AM BST
no pierre you are one of the deluded. There may be a few conspiracies here and there.Theres plenty of market manipulation for example. The trouble  with the conspiracy nutters is that they see EVERYTHING as a conspiracy. That is simply ludicrious. The lollipop lady at the school crossing is wearing a different coloured hat- must be a conspiracy.Glaciers are metling, must be a conspiracy.Hasn;t stopped raining for a month- blame the usa.
Everything needs to be accessed on its merits, a one size fits all attitude rarely has 100% success rate.An oil well blow out is not a conspiracy.Instead its either incompetance, laziness,  cost cutting to maintenance, human error or mother nature or any combination of a miriad of factors.
Pieere it is you for whom we must feel sorry, living you life  thinking nothing is true or real.Open your mind to the truth. Some is real, some is beautiful, some is a lie, some is uguly etc etc.
Report PierreLaRogue June 13, 2010 4:35 AM BST
It could easily of been an accident, it could easily too of been a strategic attack made to look like an accident.

wiki "Halliburton was responsible for cementing the plug in the oil well. Improper cementing may have caused the original blowout."

"The company has become the object of several controversies involving the 2003 Iraq War and the company's ties to Former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney. Cheney retired from the company during the 2000 U.S. presidential election campaign with a severance package worth $36 million.[39]  As of 2004, he had received $398,548 in deferred compensation from Halliburton while Vice President.[40]  Cheney was chairman and CEO of Halliburton Company from 1995 to 2000 and has received stock options from Halliburton."

Haliburton is part of the US elite it goes straight to the whitehouse, and have we heard jack about haliburton? NO, mrben please try and stop being so gullable.

This is a country that has already carried out financial terrorism, an illegal iraq war and killed 100's of thousands people for control of oil. The death of 11 men, polluting a bit of ocean and a few dead birds and 1000's of ruined livelihoods is only small collateral damage compared to the gains they may achieve, and BP is footing the bill.

I don't think you can even class this as a conspiracy, there's nothing whacky or crazy about what im saying its logical.

This video I just found is rather revealing too.

pierre- try upping the dosage on your medication. Its axiomatic that if haliburton works extensivly in the oil industry that it may have been the original cementer. You dope.Don't you know anything about statistics? If haliburton does 60% of the work the they probably will have 60% of the mistakes. No conspiracy there.Just plain old numbers.
Try this one- if theres 1 million cars and 10 % have accidents thats 100,000 accidents. With population increases theres 2 million cars and 180,000 accidents.Have accidents gone up or down?ohhh wait I know the answer- ford usa has  paid road builders to do a bad job so they can sell more cars! Right?LaughLaugh moron pieere.

conspiracy op not

if BP falls (or is helped to fall) and is bought up by
some non-uk interest,

1) BP supplies a huge wad of cash into the british pension coffers

2) BP have oil interests in the falklands, which according to some reports is high quality crude, with
reserves in excess of the whole north sea

3) conveniently, the falklands just happen to be in the
backyard of the USA. I don't believe the USA will stand
back and just watch their own backyard being planted with
somebody elses roses.

all in all, if BP falls/is restructured/taken over, then
you can as much guarantee that it will be US cash running
to do the takeover
Report joepublic June 14, 2010 4:57 AM BST
then again, that might be the whole point,

1. BP's share price drops
2. US investors buy part of/all of BP
3. turn the oil fields on in the falklands
4. argentina won't dare come looking for a share
of the falklands oil bounty with the US as
part owners via BP acquisition.

how's that for a conspiracy theory!
Report Mrben June 14, 2010 5:47 AM BST

Haven't heard a peep from the US Gov about Halliburtin or Transocean.

Will Obama start paying reparations for the Bhopal and Piper Alpha disasters under the current system? Where the "foreign" company is liable for all damages (real and made up), even though they only own 60% of the field, where they will have to put money in an "escrow" account that can be used by the government!

BP is now is serious danger, so are all the current stockholders/pension funds, the Obama Goverment has made it's intention clear. They want BP destroyed or preferably bought up by an American Compnay.

Backyard of USA ? Take another look. The Falklands are almost at the southernmost tip of South America, closer to Antarctica than the USA.
