I have been working with a company for last three months now and they have offered me a fantastic opportunity to run the whole Midlands area on a franchise type basis.

I need approx 10k to start it up (Includes buying the franchise and working capital )but don't have this and because of recent events with a previous company before Christmas don't have the best credit rating ( was ok before thou ).. Have approached banks etc but they cannot help because of credit rating.

The turnover per month would be at least 20k but probably higher and I have business pending which will return approx this over next three months also.

The company themselves have gone back to their bank In order to assist since they realise how successful this could be but they have only been able to reduce the initial costs down to the 10k ( was originally 20k),.. Bank has prevented them from pricing it any lower than this

How would I find someone to become a sleeping partner in this since I can run the whole thing and have the experience required to make a significant return on the initial investment.

I have seen the business plan for the franchise and the targets that need to be hit to sustain the venture and have nearly produced enough business in the last week to fulfil the quota for the month. ( Hence the 20k turnover will probably be lot higher.)

Is there any website where you can approach venture capitalists or private investors who would be prepared to at least listen to the proposals.

Any advice would be much appreciated ..

Sheriff

I sure hope this is not an underhand way to try to get some "investors " on board.
All sounds a bit Nigerian to me tbh.
But I suppose I've just got an untrusting, suspicious type of mind .
Let's hope so.

What are your plans for the silent partner?

To pay off asap and then be on your own? or to keep in and share profits?

money tree... i would prefer to pay off asap to be honest... quicker return for the investor and also once they would be paid off and happy then I could return to only having to worry about myself... If the investor wished to have long term share instead that that would be fine also but to be honest it wouldnt really matter to me at the moment what they would like.... as long as its reasonable...

Just for further info , after getting further great advice on this... I have broken it up into 10 x 1000 sections so people can invest as little or as much as possible...

Even if I can get 5000 or 6000 raised I will prob be able to convince the bank to over look the credit rating problems and top up the difference but I wont get to speak to them till later today... This also gives time for everyone to think about the deal offered and sort out best way of doing it...

If anyone wants further info please email me on the address given previously...

I have 4000k offered so far btw

Thanks again

Sheriff...

As explained on the other fred, Im waiting for the CCC company to produce a 'true executed' version of the agreement or a blue peter version. As opposed to an 'generic' photocopy version which I have at home. This was signed back in 1994 in which I owe more than 9 grand on the card.

You did say that there where other ways in dealing with this instead of waiting for more test cases.

I would be interested to hear more.

the new company is called consumerclaimsagency.com and there website does not deal with unfair credit agreements. So you should recieve the forms in due course.
