Hi guys

A friend of mine (honest) made a balance transfer(0%) of around 5k a while back. He has paid around £200 a month to reduce the balance, always by going to the bank.

On his last statement it showed that he had paid in £3300 and not the £200 he actually did pay in. His statement now says that he owes around £400.

Can anyone advise what his chances are of them ever finding out? Whether it would be ok to clear the balace and cancel the card? Would this be fraud?

cheers

(Moral objectors need not reply as this would be a real bonus for him as times are hard at the moment.)

depends which bank,it might need the money more than him ,in which case he should inform them of their error.

Chance of them realising is medium to high. If he's spent it he's **ed.

Just tell him to leave it in there until they reclaim it.
