Some old woman i know well told me she received a cheque for about £70 and put it in the bin by mistake.She is not sure who sent it she thinks it was either international power or hbos who are now lloyds.these are the the only shares she has left i have tried the f t web site but they dont seem to have paid any special dividends in the last 3 weeks so if anyone has had payment of one of these companys in the last 3 weeks i would be gratefull if you would let me know so i can get in touch with them and cancel the cheque and a new one sent to her.

youlittlebotty It is for real it can not be one of them companys who have paid such a big payout otherwise some one would have mentioned it i am sure as they are helpful on this forum as a rule i will see her on sat and explain that she has had it unless she can find out who sent the payment to her.At one time if you received a cheque and did not cash it in after 6 months they would write to you and replace it ,now you can just forget it you have lost it.
