Does anybody have a clear explanation of what happened to Campbell's Soup in the UK? From what I can gather, they were bought out in the UK by Premier Foods and now there is Batchelor's condensed soup in the UK.

Can anybody explain this? What's the point of buying out a great brand name and competitor then undermining or doing away with the brand name. Also, I think Campbell's soup might be able to trade again in the UK by next year.

£450,000,000 for this? Can anybody explain it?
