you got to get one thats just been caught and not from the supermarket or fishmongers that has been caught days before

used to be a delicacy.. now farmed extensively and just about the most common fish after farmed salmon.. still better than the latter though

As said, if you can get fresh, line caught bass , not the farmed stuff, its gorgeous.
I,m lucky, my next door neighbour is a fisherman, owns a crabber boat, but also does some netting for bass, gurnard, mullet etc, so i can get it nice & fresh.
Still havnt managed to catch one myself with rod & line though :-(
