US treasury have removed the cap on supporting them.. basically wrting them a blank cheque to ensure they survive..
Likely to rise sharpley and then profit taking like it was in August when Fannie rose 60 percent in two days but should be cash to be made in short term

They would never have let them go bust. It would have started the recession all over again. |

The danger was the common shareholder being wiped out.. but seems safe for time being.. expect Fannie to see 2 dollars within a week..

and KBW had given them a target price of zero in October told everyone they would become non existant and created a hysterical selloff

Of course expect $2 in, what does it really matter its all monopoly money, just jump ship before the bond markets explode or one of about 20 countries goes bust, this is a speculator's dream. Who the fuccck cares what happens the end of this year?

Both Freddie and Fannie are a bit of a punt, but in I believe all a matter of patience , where the upside can be great.. downside is disappearance of common shareholder, but would be astounded if that happened.. they are just frustrating at the moment |
