Hi

A serious warning to anyone using tradefair.

I have used tradefair for about a year on and off, indeed barely two weeks ago i had a call from a lady who said she was my 'account manager' and said she hoped everything was going well and i should contact her if i needed anything.

Totally out of the blue yesterday my account was 'suspended' and access to the account online was blocked totally. Neither my 'account manager' nor the dealing desk or anyone at tradefair will tell me anything other than my account has been closed due to my 'trading practices not being compatible with our market making business'. I have open positions which i have been told that i must close within 5 working days and then must be done by phone. I have never dealt anything but solid FTSE 350 stocks and not anything out of the ordinary. They will not give me any access at all to my account, which makes monitoring my current positions very difficult.

I genuinely have never been more annoyed with a company to just stop me from dealing with no notice, give next to no information and not even let me log in to my account. Betfair say they are different, well under their tradefair side they certainly are unique!

So a warning, if you are happy to trade and then at no notice be told you cannot and everything is blocked you can still use tradefair, if not then stay well clear.

Chris, there's a long running capitalspreads thread on trade2win. They run tradefair as a white label. The boss posts on it.

If you post your complaint you will get probably get an answer, pr is everthing and they will have to give you a public explanation, at least.
