The £360 + Vat is for "Providing transaction management services, 9am - 8pm customer service, Text updates"
I have already got the HIP done, £300 + Vat Upfront. |

Sounds like a con tbh. that said the vast majority of conveying outfits are useless and I would tend to say it is worth paying a little more for a good service. A good service is not easy to find and personal recommendation is the key. City center firms that are mutli disciplinary with no feeder routes tend to be better as they have no allegiance with the EA's or MBs etc.

PS - your EA is already paid to manage the transaction and should be liaising with all parties under the agreed fee with him. This looks like a kickback pure and simple.

Last year, I use an online solicitor and I'm very happy. Save me thousands. I used to use local solicitor only.

Jim i agree,it reads as "Kickback".
The Solicitors say they only charge £220 + Vat, then show the other Sales fees as, Bank Transfer £35 (£20 eleswhere and i Will need 2). Mortgage Admin £95. Electronic Client Identification £8. Office Copy Entries (Other fees & 3rd Party Costs) £16. |

Hewitsons, Cambridge do all my property work.
Brilliant service . Makes you really feel like a customer. Not bargain basement cheap but you get what you pay for in this world. The cheap ones get their secretaries to do much of the work. I like to deal with a real lawyer who takes responsibility for my job. |

movewithus - Ipswich, done my HIP and it looks as though the Estate agent got £50 out of that.

Its all probably done by some robot anyway now, I would tell them to stick it up their arse the cheeky**s!! Tell them to be happy with taking a cut of an overinflated asset, because the next few years will mean less of the house price bubble to chew on in fees.
