Ryba has found the key to playing Saba:Don't give her angles to work with. Return serve deep back at her serve into the body. Of course, easier said than done but I think the strategy is sound.

Ryba's sole goal now should be the French open, she only needs to win that to be an all time great for me, not only would it mean winning all 4 slams, but winning a slam on all 3 surfaces, and of course she's also the World Number 1.

Saba has a winners mentality, it must be hard when you've just lost a slam final on your best surface, if she was all sweetness and smiles and quickly moved on, people would criticise her for not caring, showing how much you care is a good thing.

Her slam record is patchy though, being KO'd from slams a lot of times in the randomly in the first week since she won that first slam, to the likes of Tauson, Mertens, Burel, Stardust (Starodubseva) and Blinkova  - albeit the most epic of tie-breakers.

I would say thought imo you don't have to win all 4 slams or win a slam on all 3 surfaces to necessarily be an all time great, but because Ryba hasn't been to that many finals or won that many slams, just winning that French open would give her that title.

The likes of Henin for example, never won Wimbledon but she won 3 of the slam and made a dozen finals or so, made all the slam finals, gold medal and was World Number 1, also won over 40 tournaments.

tbf ryba is the poster girl for emotional stability and how far that can get you just on its own. the fact she serves so well and is such a good player when she can be bothered obviously helps also

What an example Rybakina is to young players. Saba is just McEnroe part 2 but without the talent. Why break the racket , it was the fault of the workman not his tools. She could have given it to a fan instead, and done some good.

Maybe she was upset about losing her World Number 1 Ranking, 700 Ranking points, a Grand Slam final, the defence of her trophy and finishing the year without a Major which is everything she's worked for and in the heat of the moment with all the adrenaline pumping, she wasn't quite in the frame of mind to sit down quietly and stare into the abyss like a good girl, try putting yourself in that position, she's a winner, so losing hurts.

Not the first time that sort of thing has happened when a players hasn't realised they've won, 3 times I can remember from last year alone, Andreeva at Wimbledon last year didn't realised she has just beat Navarro, Marozan beat Humbert in a clay event last year as well and the same thing happened, was in  either Munich or Madrid, and Tstisipas beating Stuff in one those events as well.

Seen in with Sveta as well, but never for winning a Slam.
