I think the last slam of the year deserves a thread of it's own
Novak same half as Alcaraz, Carlo's draw to the Semi's is very soft maybe bar home fave Shelton in the quarters.
Zverev looks good for another Slam final looking at his cakewalk draw.
Sabalenka has a pretty clean run to the Semis, where Svitolina or Muchova will probably be waiting.
Bottom half has Andreeva / Iga / Osaka / Rybakian / Gauff
It's been a long jounrey, but let's hope Sorana's last ever slam goes well and she's not dumped out by some mug.

Novak of 2024-25 probably would have been able to capitalize.

AO really was Novak's last chance at a slam he just unfortunately had to play Sincaraz back to back, he's super finished now

More that there were monster signs that his price was a monster lay to trade. Reminded me of that match a few years back at the Aus Open except this time he's older and the reserves/illness was more tangible.

first big gubbing on the mens side. collignon absolutely appalling and loses in five, from 2 sets to 1 up, missing multiple match points and 6-2 up in the stbotaj
some of these players could not finish their dinner. landaluce serves for the match against fearnley and gets broken to love. can only be a mental thing.

actually even worse. was a double break up so served for the match twice. double face palm.

gsm fearnley. from landaluce serving for the match in the forth set there were 14 more games in the match. fearnley won 12 of them. absolutely embarrassing from landaluce.
samsonova falling off a cliff. can barely win a game now after a strong first set. does she not realise joint is in a hole right now, low on confidence, poor results and with all that shes getting an absolute donation
I took on some of Sams 1.2x when it was artificially low. A RNG might be better suited than any of us for working out who will do what in this match !
match is over toad. samsonova has left the court even if her body is still there. you see these kind of collapses all the time, where one player loses the initiative and just is not getting it back
that should seal it for joint. another game held saving mps... from 0-40 in fact so it couldnt have been worse for samsonova. she will be lucky to hold serve now and if she doesnt that really is the end of this match
shang really has mugged this second set against trungelliti
mugging going on all over the place. samsonova, tien, darderi, shang, halys, none of them can hold on to an advantage
