got this completely wrong. the last two points novak lost to get broken so that tirante could serve for it were an absolute joke. both dropshots with the first one missing the court entirely and the second one dumped into the net. absolutely bailed out and if youre going to do that then why turn up at all. all the talk about how he isnt bothered about these matches, im not having it. what sort of prep is that for the us open, might just as well have not played at all. anyone backing him at the us open, even if carlitos isnt playing, needs their brains examining.

mertens can take a hike as well. murdered by parry on a hard court from a set up, another embarrassing performance.
best not to win the first set in cincinatti. you will lose if you do. such a load of claptrap about the conditions. as if denis is more able to cope with heat and humidity than jodar is. total nonsense. one is from canada the other from spain. if anything it should be denis melting out there not jodar.
just maybe there is a god. denis gets bagelled from 5-1 in the deciding set and it couldnt have happened to a nicer guy. a gigantic mug who has completely spunked the talent he has in a sea of awful results and this one can be added to the ledger.
