14 days of Slam tennis on grass is here.

Well done Karolina, a Czech I can actually watch play, shame she had a few injuries in her career otherwise she'd probably be a slam winner by now anyway
Think if Noskova makes it through, it'll be the first all Czech slam final
Genie looking really good
You can see Billie Jean-King and Navritlova both looking at her, undressing her with their eyes

Days of old someone swipes that market down to 1.01 Coco there, what a miss
is there a clearer sign of mental midgetry than losing in straight sets, where you lose your serve in both sets the first time you're serving to stay in those sets. take a bow marta. what a complete loser
I am here. Final on Saturday should have had Sorana
@tobiasr reaching a French semi and Wimbledon semi, is hardly mental midgetry
disagree john. losing in the fashion that she did can only be put down to collapsing under the pressure and that is mental midgetry.
what she did at the french and how far she got here has nothing to do with what was clearly a monster choke. it cant be clearer than being broken not once but twice when the first set and then the match demanded a hold.
Fery being cheered on by every daily mail reader, they love a rich kid
Price moved in 20 ticks so layed off my 3-0 set bet, damn you market
Just seen Andre Agassi, looks more and more like Blofeld.
Its a shame people comment on here when they havent a clue what they are talking about.
he doesn't know what he's talking about John, he just rants all year long about players choking and mental midgets, like one of these degenerate gamblers on twitter stalking players after they've lost a bet.
Can't see Zverev beating Sinner at all today but not really a big shout.
1.62 lumpy in the doubles did NOT work out well for lumpy
is taking 1.34/1.35 a good strategy in this one? I can't see Zverev winning, tbh. might get a set, but that's about it, imho.
I don't get it, he was 1.34 after he held first serve, went off at 1.2/1.21
Incidentally, anyone know the record for most Lets in a row, Sinner had 3 in that first game
Just read a couple of links, 4 seems to be the most anyone's seen, Berrettini in Cincy 2021, Serena at the Aus open 2013
Zverev nailing some forehands, but missing by miles with others.
I think Tie breaks is the only way Zverev can win this final
indeed toad. played better in that set than sinner so deserved to get it
Stays this standard, he wins.
Market basically went 1.4 at 1-1 and then 1.65 when losing the set, despite Alex playing beautifully. Strange market

That SP is the sort of rally Sinner usually goes bang down the line on.
Although it's not that hot, you still wonder if Sinner is feeling it
Sinner needs to be winning any slam he can whilst Alcaraz is out of the picture, as for every 5 slam final they played against each other you'd fancy Carlos to win 3
Psychologists must have a field day with this.
The only thing that failed Sinner in Paris was his fatigue. Yet his tennis has not been the same since and it seems to have messed with his head.
Meanwhile, Zverev didn't do anything fantastic in Paris, but because he finally won his first Slam, there is this calm about him here, and he has cruised to his first ever Wimbledon final, and is now in a good position to win it, after previously having never even made quarters here.

Although with Sinner maybe it's just the grass. I've always thought he was a bit of a mug on it, almost got found out by Dimitrov last year, with the final last year being the only exception.
I don't know what the stats say but it feels like Sinner is a better server than any of peak Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray
Also feels like ever since Wimbledon added a roof to centre court it stopped raining
I'm sure before that there were always untold rain delays, now we seem to get two weeks of heatwaves

Zverev not relenting or falling away, new found mental steel since becoming a slam champion
If he wins this it'll also sort of back up that French Open win, as the highest ranked player he beat at Roland Garros was 14th, here it'd be two top 7 ranked players + defending Champ and World Number 1, so he could say he'd have beaten anyone anyway with the form he was in.
Still would have Sinner fave for US Open.

monster set this one now. sinner gets it and he probably goes on to win, Zverev gets it and you'd favour him to win
Don't know why Sinner didn't play any grass warm up events only that Hurlingham Exhibition, probably taking a leaf out of Novak's book who stopped playing warm up events years ago and only played Hurlingham or that Boodles team challenge malarky.
Said he didn't want to mess with his confidence as defending champ.
Could also be that he wants to win all Masters 1000 this year and wants to limit his schedule outside of that. Carlos now not playing Montreal will help.
Record in one year was six (Novak), Sinner of five already
Boozy middle class Brits who've had too much Pimm's in the sun
Zverev serves first in the next, could be crucial as you don't want to be chasing Sinner into another tie break.

Will Zverev fold now?
I would have said yes pre winning a slam, post winning a slam I would like to think not with his newfound confidence knowing he can cross the line
Andy Murray's brother has got a Steve McLaren "fringe" now.
it was a bit sweaty sitting through that 2nd set at 1.69-1.72 having backed big at 1.35 to 1.45, because Zverev didn't look like losing his serve. But, really it was always going to go like this.
Zverev has to be one of the unluckiest players, first ran into the big 3, then they fade away and he runs into Sinner and Alcaraz
A Village is missing its idiot ,you petty person.

never seen you post here before, yet you're telling a regular to FO, you're either stupid, or very stupid.
There is no room for stupid, unsportsmanlike behaviour just because you are behind a keyboard.
It was a great Final

I often cheer against Sinner as I don't like his style of tennis, hence 'a dark day for tennis.
Go back to the circus forum Mr Angry.

Just a comment on the viewing experience from a casual watcher .
I found the shouting out from the crowd of something that sounded like "Wah, wah, wah, wah , wah, wah, wah" followed by coordinated clapping to be irritating .
Why doesn't the Umpire remind them that they are at Wimbledon , not at a football match ?
And as for the shouting out just before someone is ready to serve ..... Should be instant ejection .
Maybe it's just me getting old and crotchedy .
