I forgot Halle in the other one so let's use this one.

The road to Wimbledon continues.

Wonder if Emma pulled out of Nottingham to spend more time with her new 32 year old PR boyfriend, maybe thinks no point in chasing a seeding position for Wimbledon.

She's safe. 31 in the live rankings. Mboko and Baptiste are out. Did have that fall at Queens so better to go into Wimbledon with confidence and not risk making that worse or overplaying going into Wimbledon.

unless you mean she should aim for the 24 ranking to avoid big seeds in R3.

I think without those being out, others could have caught her.

Re Baptiste I don't know for sure, just assumed so because she had surgery after her fall at RG, but so did Djokovic a few years back.

Kyrgios withdrew. There his goes Wimbledon chances you would think as a good showing this week could have earned him a WC.

To be honest, it probably wouldn't happen anyway, AELTC is a very posh club, they used to frown upon Murray a lot with his on court behaviour in the early days, although Kyrios is box office, he's not their cup of Rosie Lee and they're not really an event that needs to sell themselves. He is the antipathy of everything they stand for.

They will instead hand out a bucket load of nonsense wildcards to nice, plummy voiced, well mannered but hopeless Brits that the unsuspecting casual-viewing British public has no idea about but think they're future stars, even if they're mid 20's with career high ranks in the hundreds.

Silliest market move since Jankovic's price went up because her dress needed repairing.

that Zverev slip earlier in the tie break could have been nasty, that's why you need to play warm up events on grass so your brain gets used to the footing  needed from the clay switch, never done Novak any harm missing them but his talent got him through.

yeah that is really annoying, commies do it as well, it's because it's the BBC and they have to be correct on everything when most people would simply anglicise his name to Al-ka-Razz.
