i still find it astonishing how players can win a set and then crumble, |

they are just weak mentally. badosa got broken from 40-30 in her first service game of the final set losing consecutive points and that was it pretty much. has folded like a deck of cheap cards. grabher hasnt played well either, but still much better than badosa

theres nothing worse than when a player gives up. badosa gave up. having said that though you almost cant blame her. even she must have realised what an unbelievably muggy final set set played. first service game broken from 40-30 losing three points in a row, then has 15-40 to get back on serve but blows it, second service game repeats the first losing three points in a row from 30-15, then has another break point in the next game to at least get one break back but cant win that either. by the time shes serving to avoid the bagel she must have been thinking i have had an absolute nightmare and just want off this court.
