Draws Tjen in Doha R1, then Iga in R2 should she win that

Saving all her energy for Dubai instead

By:
what will Sorana be ranked on Monday?
By:
31 iirc.
By:
Has QF's in Dubai and Austin to defend in the upcoming weeks, then almost nothing until late July. Hopefully she will be seeded for the summer slams, of which she didn't even play Roland Garros last year.
By:
think she'll make the top 20?
By:
if she's healthy, good chance.
By:
if she can R2 every slam minimum it will probably work out for her
By:
this really is the moment for her to try to do it. two good runs at IW and Miami and she probably makes it? hard courts are her friend
By:
Withdrew before the semis of Rouen today where she was a 1.25 fave.
Leg injury ![]() F or W this week would have helped her chances at top 20, but let's hope it's nothing too serious and there's still every chance she'll get there. |
By:
Might be time to ban clay though, it's where she got injured last season.
By:
you can do it Sorana. the August hard courts are going to be the key. needs to keep everything solid up until then and avoid injuries
By:
This year she has only lost to:
Sabalenka Osaka Eala Noskova (but also beaten her twice) Coco x2 Mirra Would be nice if she could have some luck with the draw for once. (She did in IW, but couldn't make it past Noskova and the Czech benefitted from the easy draw instead). But she has barely anything to defend until Cleveland, so let's hope she can stay healthy and there's every chance. |
By:
maybe she'll randomly win Wimbledon

The march continues!
QF in Rome with a winnable match up next (Kalinskaya or Ostapenko). |
By:
Haha, she's so confused. Just said "it's still three matches to go!" No, Sorana you just made the QF.
By:
still at #26, but a win next round will take her to #21 or #22. And this with just a 250 SF to defend until August. Dream is very much on. #13 in the live race.

Nearly there! No IJBABP syndrome for Sori!
By:
She did it!
Ranked 18 in the world. (I thought she'd be 21 after Madrid). |
By:
I looked at the live Rankings the day after the Rome final, and I saw it said she was 21st in rankings as well.
Imagine my surprise to see her actually make Top 20 for the first time, don't know what happened there, don't think there could be a miscalculation? Not that I'm complaining. Now for Top 10 before she hangs up the racket ![]() |
