lets see if hes in the mood. shouldnt make a difference either way because those first serve numbers in the 2nd set from denis are dreadful and can only be because he's not fully fit

WTA RACE atm:

Paolini, Andreeva and Rybakina will finish the week all three almost tied if Rybakina wins tomorrow.

Andreeva shockingly didn’t ask for a WC in Tokyo but can’t do it for Guangzhou (draw still isn’t out).

I feel bad, but this is great for my book.

It was bound to happen. When you have an injury and is as fragile as Holger, you will try and compensate and put extra pressure on other body parts.

Profits of €9,828.50 just on the injury speculation mixed arbs based on what happened yesterday. Gave away €790 by locking in some profit in the end, but very happy overall with the outcome. I do feel bad for Holger though. It's a mystery to me how someone who seems so driven to me is this injury prone even at age 22.

so Mirra didn't enter anything for next week, meaning Paolini is now qualifed for the WTA finals and Ryba can do so by either winning today and making semis in Tokyo (would just need two wins there) or losing today and winning Tokyo.

Rune's injury from yesterday was a torn achilles tendon, so he will be out for quite a while.

He'll probably have to spend xmas with mama Aneke now and be exposed to her smoking instead of doing a big training block somewhere.

Can do a big rehab block somewhere.

So annoying that this happens. Last time I checked the rules aren't exactly clear either. But they usually void everything matched after the match has started once they finally realize their muggery.

So Mirra was relying on getting enough points in Beijing/Wuhan/Ningbo, didn't bother to enter Tokyo or Guangzhou and by the time she realized she needed points from one of those tournaments, it was too late as she didn't get a visa for Japan (if what Ellen claims is true), and wildcards had already been announced for Guangzhou.
It could also be the case that she feels she can do with the break and if she misses out on Riyadh, especially in her current poor form, it's not the end of the world.

Needs to go to the Maldives with Conchita and Aussie Dasha really.
