You know what I've loved most about my conversation with Brits on here? You guys have such a huge, incomparable knack for being overtly Dramatic Darrens.

Not a bad idea.

No, Wesdag, but it is obviously not the most scandalou day in the history of women's tennis and absolutely total embarrassing scenes that should see to Anisimova retiring on the spot.
A double bagel in the biggest slam?
Ok.

Is Iga a machine? I only watch part time. Can she be undisputed queen of the tramnlines?
Pegula showed how she can be beaten. Move well, hit big and accurately. Going to take a big performance to beat her. We won't see 12-14 on her at tournament start again sadly !

It's not an embarrassment, it's sad.
It's not a great advertisement though for sure when it's this one sided with one player playing atrociously. Amanda played the stuff she did to lose in qualifiers here last year.

Well, there've been occasions where quite prominent players e.g. got themselves defaulted in finals for threatening to shove balls down the throats of line judges.

Federer said the reason he lost the 08 Wimbledon final was because he was scared by the 08 French final after being battered and bagelled there, one of the reasons I never liked him made excuses for biggest losses, like saying he was the better player in the 09 US Open final against Delpo, when you can't be when you've lost, it's not football where you can dominate for 90 minutes and lose.
correct mes. worst example of that for me was when he lost to millman at the us open. massive gubbing and he blamed humidity for it.

And I hope we can agree that it was wise from Federer to not retire on the spot from the total embarrassment Nadal put on him and men's tennis in 2008.
Fed at least won 4 games v the greatest ever player on clay.
I doubt Swiatek will be in the top 20 on grass.

I know some don't like these kind of finals, but I really like the fact of watching some history, with such a rare 6-0 6-0 match at this level.Iga is a great tennis player, and was not going to let Amanda have crucial points to settle, even when she threatened to start hitting good shots.A little bit of history.
I don't like these results, because close matches are better for my betting
At the end I think they add to a player's legacy even more than it hurts the other player. We are still talking about Graf double bagelling an opponent in a final 37 years ago, Rafa bagelling Rafa in 2008, Roger schooling quality players like Del Potro and Murray in Melbourne and Novak schooling Rafa at the same tournament.

This girl is far too week to get to win another slam.

Happy to do them from SF and onwards when there's only one match going on at the same time. They will probably be more active at Wimbledon than other Slams due to this being a British forum, but we can try the same for US Open and see how it goes.

Agreed. It's like saying the hill isn't technically Henman's. It could be Murray's mound or Raducanu's ridge! It's not though. It's Henman hill and will always be Henman hill.
You're saying I'm Sue Barker and if anyone else starts the match threads they will get the Clare Balding treatment?
