Kerber has set up very passive here (imo a terrible strategy vs Osty).

If Goerges actually is here to win and not just happy to be here maybe, but she probably is that. She sounds in awe of Serena in press which isn't great to me. Also strikes me as sort of player who will fold immediately if Serena has to up the intensity.
The problem with a lot of players in the latter stages of a slam against Serena is that they don't really start playing until they are a set and break down late in the second set.
Got to try to fight in the first. Even if you lose the set make sure its 6-4 not 6-1. An extra 20 mins on court can pay dividends later in the match.
I'll be extremely shocked if Julia wins today. in my experience she folds in pressure matches against big name opponents

Whenever Serena ups into 2nd gear it makes Georges looks like a junior.

Enjoyable doubles match that too. Sock was playing lights out first two sets but has dipped and that's leveled it up.

ridiculously easy as I expected. Julia just hasn't got the level to compete
tomorrow SFs are far more difficult to predict. both very close on paper. I'm leaning towards Nadal and Anderson though
After starting better than expected, match has reverted to type now.
