Sharapova can't believe her luck that Serena goes away the moment she comes back
|

By:
Was the best birthday present she could ever wish for.
|
|
By:
Sharapova also can't believe her draw is out of form Vinci followed by out of form clay mug Makarova or out of form clay mug Radwanska.
|
|
By:
Shouldn't even be allowed to play this week imo
Isn't even allowed on the premises when the event starts because she's still banned ffs |

Curious to see the general feeling if people agree with Sharapova receiving wildcards on her return to the WTA tour? #askingforafriend Poll if you want to vote here: https://twitter.com/NaomiBroady/status/856454644104658944 |

I voted yay to that poll though agree with SiG's sentiment on the Stuttgart WC specifically which is shady as anything imo.
I've never been against her getting WC's though. Don't really see it as any different to when any big name is lowly ranked, they get WC's. She's getting these WC's on name, nothing else. |
|
By:
It also feels in effect double punishment if you ban all WC's. But I don't think her ban should have been shortened from the initial 2 years in the first place, the reasons it was shortened were totally spurious to me. It basically said you can say "I didn't know" and get your ban shortened which is nonsense to me, as anyone can use that defence and you can never prove against it or not.

'Everybody loves Ilie': legendary gymnast Nadia Comaneci defends Nastase outbursts |
|
By:
"I was just trying to promote the interest of my girl. The English player just stormed off without even asking permission to leave the court and I admit that's when I called her a bitch."
Is this translated correctly? Timeline here is way off. |
|
By:
That isn't what happened anyway. That's just bs, and given it's Nastase, I expect bs.

Sugita is closing in on 30, has never won a clay main court match, and today brushes Robredo away like he's a Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo on the surface.

Not been watching much, but if Robredo has made errors like in this game all match I can understand why he's losing.
