So after a newsworthy week of tennis where we've had Serena Williams announce pregnancy, where we've had tennis legend Ilie Nastase make some controversial comments about this and then go on to make an even bigger fool of himself at the weekend's Fed Cup tie, where we've had big names flop at Monte Carlo and help Rafael Nadal take his 10th title there and where we've had challenger tennis in Sarasota be interrupted by intercourse noise, it's now time for another week of tennis. I can't promise it will be as exciting but there will be grunting this week as well as Maria Sharapova makes her comeback in Stuttgart after a 15 month suspension. On the men's side there will be big names in action as well as Nadal and Andy Murray will both play Barcelona.

I voted yay to that poll though agree with SiG's sentiment on the Stuttgart WC specifically which is shady as anything imo.
I've never been against her getting WC's though. Don't really see it as any different to when any big name is lowly ranked, they get WC's. She's getting these WC's on name, nothing else. |

It also feels in effect double punishment if you ban all WC's. But I don't think her ban should have been shortened from the initial 2 years in the first place, the reasons it was shortened were totally spurious to me. It basically said you can say "I didn't know" and get your ban shortened which is nonsense to me, as anyone can use that defence and you can never prove against it or not.
