Before the betfair live video feed was faster than sky sports, now it lags. This has been the situation for a few months and I just assumed it was betfair delivering a slower feed. The other possibility however is that my ISP has decided to implement buffering of it's own. So I'd appreciate it if some forum members could say which of the live bf feed or sky is faster and whether that has changed in the past few months, please? Thanks.

Bookie streams for tennis for most ATP events have been slower since beginning of 2017.

odds change 3 to 5 shots before betfair sky show it its a gold mine for people with fast feeds.
we are screwd but befair don't care they still get payed but they probably lose punters over the long run

It's not betfair, it's the stream formatting has changed for ATP and WTA with extra buffer for a number of events.  Also more matches with commentary means the streams are rooted to wherever (perform?) for someone in a booth to add their commentary before being resent out to bookies rather than being directly forwarded

Hi Don Happy The commentary factor is weird. There was one mug ATP tournament recently where stream speed was fine for the first four days and then when commentary was added for the weekend the streams for that tourney had a longer delay. On the other hand for both IW & Miami ATP streams have had no commentary whereas WTA streams have and yet ATP streams have been around 7 seconds behind the WTA streams.

That was San Paulo caramba. Best ATP stream in living memory for the first 4 days.

Hey Caramaba Cool Yeah the ATP 500 and above streams seem really slow with or without commentary.  Some of the lower tier events have an ok speed until it's relayed with commentary on.  Since they relaunched the WTA streaming it seems to either be the challenger type stream or the slow new one for bigger events.  Some of the international series events used to have a decent speed stream :(  The Australian Open one was much slower this year as well. The umpire chair bot must be happy

So today for ATP Stuttgart, centre court stream which has more fancy production (commentary + replays) is significantly behind Mercedes Court stream which doesn't have any of these fancy production values.
