Awful, all shades of terrible, barely a good one amongst them bar Courier maybe, but almost none capable of talking just about tennis, maybe the way forward is just to have one commentator so they don't slide into casual conversations about what a player is wearing, what they went through in childhood, what they've rambled on twitter or their failed relationships in front of millions just wanting to watch a ball fly over a net, two is bad but the need for three?

Actually better still, have none, the sound of the acoustics and nothing else would do

Could mute but  moving pictures in 2016 is meant to carry sound, not noise.

Kevin Skinner is the best. He does his homework and speaks articulately and intelligently about players and the game.

Mike C for all challengers and 250s

Luddy on his own for every single WTA match.

Koenig/Goodall/Petchey for 500s/1000s and Slams.

Fleming anchoring the lot.

The rest can all do one.

forgot about Fleming, something to do with being criminally underused.

Simon Reed the only one for me I can tolerate. He is knowledgeable & is old school in the sense of only saying what's needed to be said. I generally can't stand ex-British tennis players giving their ten penneth - the likes of Durie, Castle - don't get me started.

When Durie is with, is it Chris Bradnam, they are incredibly annoying and tiresome together. It just seems a massive gravy train. They swan around the world following the circuit & pitch up & give next to zero insight with a mic in front of them but just seem awfully chipper. That said, Mary Pearce has been good at the US Open.

i want him to do everything with no sleep. he can do the ITF as well.

I want him on full insane rant mode all the time.

One thing that drives me insane is when the have the sound levels all wrong - you can't hear the tennis on court, the line calls, and many times even the umpire is drowned out over the sound of the comms. It doesn't help if the commentator has a piercing voice.

Basically, commentators that have a soft or gentle tone I can sound them out if they have the production right.

Perhaps the footie comm with the chain saw voice could be transferred to the tennis team; any chance? pleeeeeeeease.

I started watching tennis about early last year. Ive watched all the four slams this year without commentary. The stream i use doesn't have any commentary. In fact I dont even remember how tennis commentary usually is.

OK ive been listening to th comms for about an hour now and commentary free tennis is much better. Just the players and the crowd.
