seems like it was his shoulder after all

he did seem to keep massaging and rotating his shoulder. something was wrong with him and maybe will will find out in time what it was.
he may seem like a machine sometimes but i can exclusively reveal that he is just human after all.

Odd thing was he seemed fairly ok in set 3 though....

the serb mafia told him he'd have to forego the Grand Slam and he got the huff. Seriously, I saw stuff about his shoulder, looked off in practice with it as well apparently

just like in 2011, winning a ridiculous amount of tournaments and playing too much tennis when there's a bigger picture will catch up with you eventually. maybe his shoulder or that could be a smokescreen for something else. has the testing changed this year does anyone know?

My guess is that he'd lost a bit of motivation having completed the grand slam in Paris. Mentally it must be almost impossible not to take your foot off the gas after that.
I just don't buy any of this golden slam b0ll0ks. There are 4 different ways you can win the grand slam in terms of the order, and the idea that the calendar order is somehow more valuable than any of the other 3 ways of doing it, is absolute b00l0cks.

No matter how you view it the calendar slam is the tennis holy grail for players & we've seen how tough it is to achieve.
holding all 4 at once is pretty damn impressive tho.

i agree that there is not a huge difference, other than the off season falling between the US & Oz
but it's not just the media that see it that way the players do too.

If you were one of the players who has won the slam of Aus, French, Wimb, US in that exact order (a 1 in 4 chance of luck), you'd probably say it was better than any of the other 3 ways of doing it, wouldn't you ?

i guess it's just the Kudos of going winning them all in the same year/season.
i'm not saying it's right or wrong it's just the way it is.
if a football team wins the cup in 2016 then the league in the 16/17 season they don't claim to have won the double even if they hold both for a brief time.

4 in a row is 4 in a row, holding all four slams is holding all four slams, it's only the media that give titles to events like calendar slams. It's even more difficult to win/hold all 4 over 2 seasons as the winter break breaks up momentum, allows other players to mentally and physically rest, bring in new coaches which they tend to do more so in that period and then when the new season starts the first slam comes around straight away.
