Currently 4-3* on serve in the final set, and yet Bet365 offering odds matching the spurious Exchange odds. Do they simply have bots to follow the price on here or are they that ridiculously oblivious to the fix that they're prepared to take money on this?!

You'd assume that Kicker sold the match. Whether Lapentti was also in on this and lost the first set deliberately, who knows? Betting on nothing Challenger tournament matches between two South Americans should always be done with extreme caution, but that obviously doesn't help you guys here. Hard lines; it's probably happened to most of us at some point.

They're obliged to at least pass on the information under the Memorandum of Understanding. But yes, practically all that will happen is that it'll be deemed a clean match and bets will be settled as per.

In Betfair's defence, they did try to do the right thing with the Davydenko match in 2007, but were completely hung out to dry by the ATP, who ruled that nothing untoward had occurred (which was a ludicrous statement to make, as anyone following the odds could see what was going on). Continuously? I can't remember many in the past few years. Used to happen almost weekly 5-6 years ago.

Average Bookies Lapentti before match @ 2.7 1st set 5-2 Kicker, Lapentti matched @ 1.3 (and below) on BF 1-0 Kicker, Lapentti still @ 1.4 1-1 Lapentti around 1.25 600K+ total matched (all this during USopen 5set clash Tsonga-Cilic) NO COMMENT |
