i wouldn't say it was his legs but i would say it was his bottle...48% first serves today and countless unforced errors on the forehand side just showed the pressure was all to much

federer was below the level he showed in the semi final. take nothing away from djockovic he deserved to win. he had to play against all the crowd support aswell.

I never felt like Fed really hit the heights. Maybe I was blinded by his SF performance, but I was expecting a bit more.

fed just didn't serve anywhere near as well as he did v murray and he missed forehands hed normally make blindfolded so in all  he didnt deserve to win

I thought Fed would win at match start but early in 1st set changed my opinion & market position. Closed out for small profit on Outright.

He's only played four tournaments indoors since then

Hell of a feat to have built up 31 matches unbeaten from 4 tournaments. Was he playing qualies or something?

He has long runs of wins on all surfaces indoors or outdoors, it's not something in particular to emphasise

Do keep up mes. It was a point of emphasis in response to the view many people posting on here had that playing under the closed roof would favour Federer. And seeing as that run includes 3 year end Championships when he's not played a couple of no hopers in the early rounds to bump up the figures, it was pretty compelling evidence that closing the roof may have been very much in Novak's favour.

It does help Federer too as explained. But as said, there was no great advantage, Federer has won plenty of indoor events as well. The roof closing in 2012 v Murray after leading also aided Federer with the changed match conditions.

the second set was out of this world.
