neither can hold serve

they're both so defensive
Report thepunter March 1, 2015 4:52 AM GMT
Well, both are better returners than servers, but 6x in  a set is a bit much.
Report AZ91 March 1, 2015 4:53 AM GMT
30-15 to 30-40 again lol ?
Report thepunter March 1, 2015 4:53 AM GMT
Good thing with ferrer, is he never gives up. after choke of serve he is there 100%, always get a ride for your money.

1.1 is correct, never more.
Report thepunter March 1, 2015 4:56 AM GMT
Nishi serving first in tie will get broken anyway. If he doesnt, ferrer has 2 serves to go 2-1 => most scenarios pressure goes down.

come on thepunter, this is nonsense lol. you have to take the scope of the match, not just 1 irrelevant thing. there's more reasons in that match why he shouldn't be #4

just made some classic caramba muggery. was arbing tennis and cricket at the same time. I saw Ferrer at 1.08 with bookie and (thought I) saw Ferrer to lay at 1.07 here, only to later realize that I was in England/Sri Lanka market on Betfair and had actually arbed Ferrer win/Sri Lanka loss so had to take a red on both markets BlushBlushCry

Nishi completely dimitrov'd that match though
Report AZ91 March 1, 2015 5:08 AM GMT
his weakness is his serve, today it showed
credit to ferrer, he executed the perfect game plan (maintain highest intensity at all times and push nishi back to the baseline)
Report thepunter March 1, 2015 5:09 AM GMT
Sure, but dont take credit away from ferrer. Its easy to call them all UEs, many of them were not far from half forced. ferrer kept his best for the final, and he definitively was there to take some revenge.
Report AZ91 March 1, 2015 5:09 AM GMT

Report AZ91 March 1, 2015 5:11 AM GMT
i have identified him as one of the main cash cows for the coming 5 years you see Happy. he will take the crown off ferrer (ironically)
Report thepunter March 1, 2015 5:12 AM GMT
Hope so too because atp is in urgent need of strong new goat to replace rafa, fed and many other who will leave soon.

Nishikori really does stink sometimes.

There is something I really dislike about him, but can't put my finger on it.
Report thepunter March 1, 2015 5:14 AM GMT
No news from del potty...all these players would avoid at least too many serve bots to make it into top 20.
Report AZ91 March 1, 2015 5:15 AM GMT

i can see coric peaking early before crashing
he's getting too much praise too early and i'm not convinced he can maintain it in the long run
Report aaronh March 1, 2015 5:15 AM GMT
Rublev
Report AZ91 March 1, 2015 5:16 AM GMT
i think kyrgios will be a top 10 from as early as 2017 and will stay there for a while
Report Welshie5121 March 1, 2015 5:16 AM GMT
The amount of times makes a wild error is very worrying for any Nishikori fan.

He will always have that in his locker, and on the biggest occasions, he will call upon those errors.
Report aaronh March 1, 2015 5:16 AM GMT
Coric has 2 big wins but Nadal was horrific and injured and apparently Murray was even worst (and had his worst career returning performance)
Report thepunter March 1, 2015 5:16 AM GMT
coric is a very open question, kyrgios could be the revelation.
Report AZ91 March 1, 2015 5:16 AM GMT

Report AZ91 March 1, 2015 5:20 AM GMT

but they will be filled by 3 players who are currently in the top 30
Report AZ91 March 1, 2015 5:21 AM GMT
there's nobody that convinces me they are worthy of a top 10 spot

the bottom half of the top 10 by end of 2016 is gonna be pretty unstable and crap imo

Report AZ91 March 1, 2015 5:24 AM GMT
i think some of the youngsters can rise and really make a charge for top 10
thiem, kyrgios, Coric
Report aaronh March 1, 2015 5:24 AM GMT
hard really to see anymore than 2 spots, maybe even 1 being taken up by someone who hasn't been there before and currently isn't really all that near
