9 is about right, maybe too low, from what we have seen lately.

i would fancy him to beat berdych, wawrinka, ferrer, raonic in a grand slam match - but he still isn't back to his pre-operation level

is it the op or is it the loss of Lendl? to me the mental fragility and too much defensive play is something that was with him pre Lendl and pre op. IMHO its a mental thing and he needs someone to lick him into shape. At the time, I was sceptical that Lendl would make a difference bit I think I was wrong.

This year has been a write off. He just needs a strong off-season to get back to a high level. Given the way his main rivals are playing there will be plenty of opportunities for slams
